Live Edge Oak Desk

I was approached to create a simple desktop with a subtle live edge and I immediately knew I had the right piece of wood. With a little rearranging of my stock pile of slabs, I picked out the oak slab you see below.

Once flattened and smooth graduating to a 320grit sandpaper, I simply used a water based polyurethane to seal the wood on all sides.

The customer requested 28in hairpin legs and that is exactly what I used. Another customization is a burnt Richwood brand underneath the desk just below the first coat of Poly.
